Product design · Mobile development · AI integration
Nurena is our mobile app for recording dreams by voice or text and revisiting them over time. Here we look at three concrete design and development choices behind the product.
Inside the app
Nurena’s journal and analysis screens, taken from store captures with sample content.

Record while you remember
The voice entry point on the home screen makes starting a recording a visible step. The journal list offers a direct return to earlier entries.
Return to unfinished work
Text is saved as a local draft when moving from recording to analysis. If the app closes, a valid draft can be recovered on the recording screen. Saving the entry or deliberately discarding it clears the draft.
Look at what accumulates
Journal entries live in the on-device database. The analysis screen presents mood distribution and patterns across entries in a separate view. Speech transcription and AI analysis use online services.
A product extends beyond its home screen. An unfinished entry, a pending response and a reopened app are also part of the design.
